photographik 2.0 has arrived!
Most of you probably know by now that my husband Jesse is the founder of the brilliant directory for photographers called photographik ( with a lower case “p”). While it’s been live for about three years, Jesse and his two partners Josh and Jeremy launched the seriously new and improved version of photographik late Friday night! All I can say is AWESOME!!! I may sound biased because it is in fact my husband’s baby, but photographik is actually a revolutionary new place for photographers to connect as well as promote our businesses. With a front end that is optimized to snag all those people searching for “wedding photographers”, or “maternity portraits” or other search strings, photographik comes up high on the search engines. Did I mention it’s a beautiful looking site? (Good job, Josh)! What I’m even more excited about however is the back end where photographers can share advice, ask questions and connect on the forums. There’s even a place where we can ” blurbit” which is kind of like a blog, but on the home page of photographik so that when people go out to the site, they can read multiple “Blurbits’” from a bunch of different photographers. I’ll probably be bloggin’ here and blurbiting there, so you’ll get to hear from me even more!! Hee hee!
If you haven’t yet been out to photographik, check out photographik 2.0!! And if you’re a photog out there, it’s worth looking into as a new resource for promoting your business and networking with other photographers. More than 400 wedding and portrait photographers have asked to be contacted when the new site goes live so photographik is really about to take off!
