Gaye and Gus—married 7/7/7
So…. 7/7/7 supposedly the luckiest and most blessed day in history to hold a wedding. And also the busiest! I kept having people ask me early last week, “How was your weekend? You must have been so busy on 7/7!”. “Whose wedding did you photograph on 7/7/7? I’m sure you must have had people lined up for that date!”
Actually, I didn’t have people lined up for that date…. I met with about 3 other couples who never got back to me and didn’t actually book 7/7/7 until spring. And I am so happy with how 7/7/7 turned out for me. I had the pleasure (and luck) to work with the sweetest, most genuine couple, Gaye and Gus. This wedding was particularly moving to me because Gus and Gaye were older than my average couple— and this was also the first marriage for both of them. They waited for their true love–their soul-mate, if you will. It was very inspirational to see these two people say their vows, because there was a maturity and complete sincerity to them. Gus cried many times during the day—which I love in a groom. There weren’t many nerves before the ceremony—just excitement and joy and I didn’t have to work hard to capture this—it was everywhere.
Congratulations, Gaye and Gus! You’re a beautiful couple and I wish you all the luck in the world… although somehow, I don’t think you’ll need it!

Are you just trying to flaunt the fact that you are the best photography ever. Gosh I flipping love that I get to call you my friend. You have more talented with your little picture taking finger than anyone else I know.
Your work is just more amazing as time goes on….I am jealous that I don’t know these people because I want to take these pictures and put them up in my house.
